Fran Shepherd (co-owner) is an experienced maths teacher who loves nothing more than relating her love of maths to her second love of sport. You will often find Fran running at Park Run or running after her little girl. Fran is passionate about helping students to achieve their goals in an encouraging, and supportive environment. Fran has expertise in teaching secondary school maths and is available to coach KS2, KS3 and GCSE maths.

Charlotte Hammond (co-owner) has been a teacher of English literature and Language for 8 years in various secondary schools, and was a Head of English for three years. She is practised in working with students of all previous attainment and confidence levels. She has also worked in schools that specialise in the teaching of students with complex needs, including but not limited to ASD, ADHD and anxiety. Charlotte strongly believes that previous attainment or learning needs should not limit any young person and works to ensure all students have the best possible opportunity to achieve their full potential, as well as to enjoy their studies.

Viviane Dawes has 13 years of experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) secondary Maths and offers Maths tuition to students ages 11-16. She prepares students to sit their GCSE Maths exam both at Foundation and Higher level, offering expert knowledge of the 9-1 GCSE Specification. Viviane's tutoring style is structured but also relaxed and supportive. She establishes students individual proficiency early on to enable her to plan bespoke and adapted sessions.

Whether your child needs long term support to help them gain confidence in the classroom environment or needs to achieve a certain grade in their Maths GCSE, Viviane can help.

Rob McLaughlin trained in Biological Sciences at Warwick University and has over 30 years teaching experience. He is currently teaching at Sharnbrook Academy and offers A Level Biology with a real  interest in Human Physiology and Exercise.

Rob assisted his own children through their A Level Biology and now wants to give back by helping others to achieve their goals. He believes that with a 'can do attitude' you can make improvement in all areas.

When Rob is not teaching he enjoys running and trying to stay fit!

Our Student Teachers

Jack Rodden is a biochemistry student at the University of Oxford, and achieved 4 A*s at A-level. When he’s not nose-deep in a textbook, Jack enjoys coding, gaming and generally just spending too much time staring at a screen! He’s also a black belt in karate after 11 years, and occasionally shoots arrows at targets in archery.

Jack is available to coach students online in maths. With two younger siblings at home he's used to helping out with homework. His friendly and easy going approach makes him a fabulous choice for students who are finding the topic tough.

Fred Upton is at Robinson College, Cambridge studying Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic. Fred enjoys playing the drums, jamming with fellow musicians and has performed at several local gigs. In addition to spending time playing music, Fred passes the time writing plays and performing and directing.

Fred is able to coach students in English and maths, as well as history and classics. He has expertise in GCSE English and Maths after achieving an 8 and 9 respectively. Fred is also available to teach drums having achieved grade 8.

Grace Collins is currently doing her A-Levels at Bedford Sixth form, where she studies Classics, French, Spanish and Latin. She can often be found lost in a book, fiction and non-fiction alike, gaming or learning whatever obscure language takes her fancy!

Grace is able to coach students in French, Spanish and Latin. Up until the age of 13 she hated learning languages, mostly because of the dull and impersonal approach that is often taken towards them. However, after a rather enlightening trip to France, she has become very passionate about helping people progress in the languages they study and making them relevant and fun."
